On October 21th, 2026, JobCloud proactively took all of its online services offline as a precautionary measure in response to a critical, worldwide-impacting PHP security vulnerability. This page explains what happened, what it means for you, and what to expect next.
What happened
A critical security flaw was disclosed in PHP, a technology used by some of our services. In response, JobCloud made the decision to take all of its online services offline as a preventive measure.
When it happened
Systems were progressively taken offline starting at 18:15 on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Why did JobCloud suspend its services?
This is part of a worldwide-impacting PHP security issue that could potentially affect JobCloud's systems. As a precaution, we suspended access to all JobCloud services to protect our systems and prevent any unauthorized access to customer or candidate data. This decision was made jointly by our IT team, Security team, and JobCloud's CTO.
Is this a cyberattack on JobCloud?
No. This is not an attack targeting JobCloud specifically. It is a response to a global PHP security vulnerability that could potentially affect systems like ours, including JobCloud's.
Which services were affected?
All JobCloud services were temporarily taken offline. Some were restored late Wednesday night and Thursday morning, including:
- one.jobcloud.ch
- jobcloud.ch
- jobup.ch & customer admin portal
- jobs.ch
This means our candidate-facing platforms are back online and accepting job searches and applications.
Our customer admin portal jobs.ch remains under detailed verification and assessment, and is not yet accessible.
When will I be able to access JobCloud services again?
Our teams are thoroughly checking all services and components to confirm they are not at risk from the PHP vulnerability before restoring full access. We expect all services to be fully restored within 48 hours of Wednesday, October 21, 2026 evening , i.e., by Friday evening.
We understand this causes significant inconvenience, and we apologize for the disruption. However, protecting the security of your data remains our top priority.
Was my data stolen or accessed?
At this time, there is no evidence that customer or candidate data has been accessed or compromised. JobCloud proactively disconnected its services specifically to prevent this type of risk, and your data remained protected throughout. The ongoing audit is intended to confirm and reinforce that your data remains safe and secure.
What should I do as a customer?
Nothing is required from you at this time. Once we have confirmed that it is safe to fully restore our systems, they will be brought back online and you will be able to access them as usual.
Who can I contact for questions or support?
