Displaying salary information in job ads significantly improves recruitment outcomes. Transparent salary details help attract qualified candidates, reduce time spent on mismatched applications, and build trust with potential applicants. When candidates can immediately assess whether a role meets their salary expectations, they enter the recruitment process with realistic expectations, leading to more productive conversations and better hiring decisions.
Typical use case
Including salary information addresses one of candidates' primary concerns when evaluating job opportunities. Research shows that job ads with salary information are up to 15% more likely to attract candidates compared to those without. Additionally, 60% of candidates hesitate to apply for positions that lack salary details. By providing this information upfront, recruiters save time by avoiding misunderstandings around compensation expectations and enhance the candidate experience through greater transparency.
Managing salary information in JobCloud ONE
JobCloud ONE offers two options for displaying salary information on your job ads:
- Retain the automatically generated salary estimate provided by jobs.ch or jobup.ch on your job ad.
- Add your own specific salary range to replace the estimate, which typically attracts more trust and higher-quality candidates.
How salary estimates are generated
When you choose to display salary estimates, the following applies:
- Salary estimates are only visible to candidates who are logged in to the platform.
- Estimates are displayed when sufficient data is available (a minimum of 12 salary entries for the specific job title and canton).
- If insufficient data exists for a specific canton, the system displays a Switzerland-wide estimate (subject to a minimum of 12 available salary entries for Switzerland).
- All estimates are based on real, anonymised salaries voluntarily shared by candidates on JobCloud platforms.
